  St. John's has a very young pastor with a vibrant message and an excellent mastery of the Bible. I learned a lot of things from Matthew and Luke I'd never heard before -- and that doesn't happen often. They have both a traditional and a contemporary service. The music in the traditional service was organ hymns with a choir and very pleasant, although the organ was way so loud it was difficult to sing along.
  
  There are several young families in the church and they seem to be going places. They are currently building a larger facility, which will be located closer to town.
  
  In doctrine, they seem completely faithful to the conservative teachings of the LCMS, which should be familiar to anyone who has listened to "The Lutheran Hour".
